Welcome to Fine Art Paintings Conservation and Collections Management

As an art conservator specializing in paintings, I stabilize and restore painted works of art. I also conduct inventory and condition surveys of entire art collections. My extensive training in art preservation principles can help you save your family treasures and preserve your investment.

Paintings can be made of a variety of materials, such as oil or acrylic paint on canvas or board. They can even be wall murals or contain new and non-traditional materials, as well.

Why Do You Need An Art Conservator?

As paintings age, they sometimes undergo undesirable changes, such as dust and grime accumulation and varnish discoloration. Damage can include tears, paint loss and buckling, as a result of accidents, mishandling, insecure and acidic framing materials and unstable environmental conditions. Entire collections can suffer damage as a result of poor storage conditions, floods, fires, mold and pest infestations.

How Can You Benefit From Art Conservation Services?

Fortunately, deterioration and damage can usually be stabilized, especially if flagged early during an inventory condition survey. The results of condition reports can inform owners of current and potential aging and damage trends. This enables owners to budget for the implementation of archival display, storage and handling methods to protect their investment.
